That's true. Santa Anna declared an end to slavery and Texas as well as some other Northern provinces decided to rebel.

Shut up is term that my wife really hates, she doesn't use it with her kids or me or anyone else. She won't let anyone else use that term either, even in jest.

Be quiet and hush your mouth are the 2 preferred terms here. Plus a couple of terms in spanish that I'm not totally sure what they mean.

Don't care . AFAIK, "Be quiet" and "hush your mouth" are just as rude as "Shut up". She should just be glad he didn't say Shut The **** Up!

The mexicans didnt have a choice int he matter to be honest. The folks if i recall came from the north because they were promised cheap land and could farm it at a profit. And if you want to research the history texas is rich in a lot of resources. Natural gas oil water etc.

Oh course they had a choice, and the exercised it. Mexico outlawed slavery. Y'all decided that if you couldn't continue to own other people, you were leaving. In fact, you're unique in the Western world in having left two different countries for the same ignoble reason.

Unless you're saying that Texas had every right to secede from Mexico because, once they outlawed slavery, Texans could no longer farm land at a profit. In which case, you're saying that Texans were either too lazy or to dumb to figure out how to live off a land rich in resources without owning other people.

Either way, there's so very much to admire...

Thank you for your frankness. I dont give a **** if he would have said that, its called i can jee i dunno ignore him. I have the abiltity to do that with out hitting a button on a computer. I forgot that that most of the time i am dealing with some folks that lack respect and manners. My Bad it wont happen again.
