I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

        Texas is a given.

As for the other one...hmmmm, Florida is just tooo damn tempting to throw out as well..

Damn it to hell that I can;t be original, but its hard to argue with two such wonderful choices.

I am an ELITIST (not psuedo-elitist) snob.

Why should I act like I am equal to them? How "democratic". BAH.

              Texas

I believe President Reagan once flew over it, and that's good enough for me.

              Now, Minnesota...

Proper term would be pseudo-intellectual. Has more punch.

2 days. and that was long enough.

the motel room I was at had dead bugs all over the floor. Granted, that's better than live bugs. But I wasn't impressed.

You really should pay more than 20$ a night for accomodations where were you? Texas is a big place for you to have made up your mind about the entire state in two days.

                    • yeah I know. But I like getting all those rednecks riled all up by calling them rednecks.

I drove accross the entire state. The only thing I missed was El Paso. I may go there someday. I haven't been to Austin. Which supposedly has a night life. But I seriously doubt it has any more night life than my city.

And things like the Alamo don't impress me. And the texans are just so proud of crap like that.

                      • Minnesota stays in just cause my NFL team is there.

I'm sticking with my Florida as the original one...and if I can't carve out Hollywood and Beverly Hills...I'm saying Utah as the second state.

Come on now! Utah vs. Texas...who should get kicked out? Answer: Utah. If you said TX, then you are obviously brainwashed by the Mormon satellite of doom.
