I don't know about the rest. Despite the stereotypical view of Texan arrogance, note *stereotypical*, lots of Texans I've met are totally cool. While they might have different mannerisms, they hold the same values I do, albeit in a different way. Honor, respect, that whole spiel...don't let the GWB blind you though. The mexicans didnt have a choice int he matter to be honest. The folks if i recall came from the north because they were promised cheap land and could farm it at a profit. And if you want to research the history texas is rich in a lot of resources. Natural gas oil water etc.
