Come on, how hard can it be? I stop smoking about 30-40 times every day.

    Seriously, I hope you'll make it, I know I won't
Within weeks they'll be re-opening the shipyards
And notifying the next of kin
    Once again...

My X called me today and tried to pull some ****. I'm not answering the phone anymore.

        Oh yeah!

And I feel better about quiting today. I may not, but I will cut down a lot. That's the way that I have quit in the past. First I cut way down and then I quit completely. Yesterday I think I smoked 9 cigs.

Kid - good luck on quitting smoking. How did it work out with your little boy, I was in hospital (fine now) and missed several weeks of OT? I also cleaned out my messages.

I have had some difficulty quitting today... owing to the fact that I have consumed an entire bottle of wine.

I smoke rollies too... it's very easy to lose sight of one's limitations... you can't exactly say: "I have 10 cigarettes left in my pack... so I'll ration them out". Their economy and cost effectiveness effectively means I smoke more cigarettes.

I smoked between the ages of 10 to 19, then stopped forever after that.
First 3weeks are crucial - i had to stop going out to pubs and drinking and even being around other people smoking. So after 3weeks of a hermits life i found i just couldn't stand the smell of cigerettes anymore, and having a drag on one nearly made me vomit. I was cured of my nasty addicition.

So its entierly possible, not that easy to do - try to remove the situations that would normaly give rise to your smoking(although a divorce isn't probably the easiest time to try but extra points if you do ).

I gave her custody because he wants to live with her, but I have visitation every weekend.

It's ok so far. She's being a fairly normal *****. It could be better though. She's probably using some drugs, but I don't think it's that bad.

If you wait for an opportune time, you'll always find reasons to put it off.

Hmm... no morning coffee, no coffee at all, no alcohol, no sex, no reading books (a strange association yes, but I like to smoke and read), no associating with my flatmate (who smokes), no walking to the shop, no walking anywhere at all, no going to school, no going to the city, no....

shall I continue? That's the kind of deprivation that would make me want to smoke

5 cigs today for me. I'll probably smoke one more, or not. I smoked 9 yesterday so I'm cutting down. The 4th seems like a good date to quit altogether.
