Haven't said he didn't - actually I have said he was a jerk doing what he did.

Does that change that AC do the same ? I would say that her words are a lot worse - funny enough, you haven't commented my list of her obscenities.

      • Ned I'm asking you, where in the police report does it say any of this:

Regardless, it is more than clear that he was there with a group of very wild and obscene protesters who deliberately were trying to obstruct Coulter's speech in any way they could besides physically attacking her. When the speaker became so outrageous as to cause Coulter supporters in the front to conduct their counter-riot and move to physically restrained the obscene protester, the police moved in and made the arrest.

and we can't wait to her your sayings about it without AC directions. Please don't let us wait.

I can't cut and paste, but there is some mention of that in the police report. It is one of the reasons for the arrest.

My language, of course, calling them fascists, rioting, and the like, is a little hypebolic.

            • I wonder which civil rights group he will pick to represent him. I assume it will be the ACLU.

This case will be interesting. Just how disruptive can you be trying to disrupt someone's else's speech?

Or, does the fact that this took place in a private auditorium change the facts and law?

Well, he has one big thing on his side if it's going to trial. AC and her ilks wanted it to happen, so he will probably have an easy win.

                    • This thread is remarkable.

It seems to me, apolyton considers pelvic thrusts to be 'public expression,' moreso than the contents of Ms. Coulter's speech.

To that, I can only ask, what were the purposes of the obscene gesture? Do we not fine others in public places for similar behaviour?

The purpose of the gesture, served not to advance the debate, but to disrupt, to dismiss rather than discuss.

If the young man had a cogent point, I would have suggested him tackling Ms. Coulter with said point. As it is, I can only conclude that he was unable to grapple with the concepts presented by Coulter.

                      • UT once again proving itself University of Twits.

Raj needs a few life lessons if he thinks he has made one iota of impact. His pyrhic victory establishing himself as a preeminent mind and spokesman for the left leaves much to be desired namely content, context, and control. When the best one can do is best an opponent by dumbfounding them with obscene *******ry and then take the time to claim that as a victory of the bravest of men, something is quite amiss (namely bravery and manhood)

No Mr. Raj in his infinite yet purile and immature wisdom fed the Coulter troll. Re-amplifying the already growing stereotype that the youth of the left are moronic pampered yet self absorbed puffed up wanna be activists. Unlike the real activists of the 60's they have no real skin in the game and as a consequence are all the more a sham.

                          • Take ben Kenobi for example. he states his right to free speech and opinion but after he does most of you guys lynch him, he doesnt come back at you grabbing his penis yelling obscenties but rather takes a more mature approach to ur heckling..

Heckling is a fine art, and is best done, when the opposition doesn't realise it immediately.

That being said, thank you very much for the compliment.

                            • We do up here. Obscene gestures in a public place can constitute incitement.

                              Particularly in sporting matches.

Indeed. She will make more from the column, than this young man will earn for quite some time.
