My point was that the Catholic Church had a thing against women. When Ben challenged that, I said that it was in the Bible that women shouldn't do this or that. Those quotes show it. This is what he says:

Matthew 19:4-6

“Haven't you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”

That seems pretty clear to me. He is affirming marriage, rather than condoning unions outside of marriage.

However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Where does it say that the woman must love her husband? How is any of this misogyny?
