It's moot - he petitioned the court, knowing that the courts would be pretty much law bound to follow his direct testimony (and the other "witnesses" were his family members), such as it was.

Her mental state (emotional disturbance evidenced by severe bulimia) wasn't considered in deciding how much weight to give her alleged spontaneous statements.

He could have simply consented to what the parents wanted, and he wouldn't have been harmed (except perhaps financially). He chose to initiate a legal proceeding in which he was prepared to give direct testimony to what he claimed she said. All her parents could do under oath was say they didn't believe she'd ever intend to end her life. Case closed, he just gets to hide behind the court.

We're tired of arguing this crap. I think we've already set out a good point in this thread about the amount of money it would take to care for Terry would have exceeded the malpractice away... hence, no financial gain for Michael here.

As for the he should have let the parents take over care for the wife, the same response continues, maybe he really wants to carry out her last wishes and feels dutybound by them.

As for the Congress and Bush should never have gotten involved... yep, that's our point.
