Which is the point I try to make with my conceal-carry buddies.

They will either freeze or end up causing more innocent lives lost.

    ACK!

I don't really know since I haven't really killed anyone. But I like the idea.

You know, often when talking to people I start thinking about ways to kill them slowly without getting caught, afterwards bursting into laughter thinking how nobody would even see their dead corpse in one piece... they must think I'm insane. Come to think of it, perhaps that is a bit crazy.

I have a nasty temper which I learned to control through meditation years ago, but my fear is that in a situation where my life or that of someone else's in my immediate vicinity (even a stranger's) is in danger I won't be able to maintain that control I've worked so hard for. Quite frankly, if someone pulls a knife or gun on me and stabs/shoots me they'd better kill or incapacitate with the first strike or else they'll face someone with nothing to lose and no fear of death.

Meh, short tempers are underrated. Soon people know not to f*ck with you.

I guess it partially stems from my desire not to be a hate crime victim or a statistic. I refuse to go gently into that not-so-good night ... I'm taking the f*cker with me.

Nah, splattering thine enemy isn't as fun as skinning and disemboweling them while they're still alive.

When my blood's up I know I have the capability to hurt somebody. After it's over, though, I sit around and shake for a half hour.

True but since we are being asked to answer now, thats all we can do.

Might I freeze? Sure. I haven't been ever involved in any form of violence as an adult. I see it as a last resort. But the question left no other choice. Its use violence or see my son killed. In that circumstance, you bet I think myself capable of violence.

I only hope I never have to find out for real

Moral paradoxes (such as the one stated above) are manifestations of previous failures. If the need to resort to violence has arisen, then whatever falls upon me is deserved.

Have done so before on numerous occasions, but certainly not recently.

It's like what Krazyhorse talks about, getting your blood up.

As for deadly force? No clue.

                              Violence? Yes.

                              Competent violence? No.

                              Deadly force? Not even close.

I think I would have a lot harder time with my fists or something than a gun

but than, I do beleive that violence is a way to solve problems

I just odn't want to do it
