Yukos's "buyer" is a company controlled by the Russian state. You know this.

Putin is taking large business and journalist organizations and putting them under the state's control so that the Kremlin has the final say in everything.

Pardon, I misrembered my Polish history. Pilsudski was NOT overthrown in a coup, but replaced on his death. By generals who took the regime much further right, and who moved away from Pilsudskis relatively good relations with minorities. I think that was '36 but i could be off by a year or two.

I was not referring to the coup that put Pilsudski in power. That was a GOOD thing for the Jews, as IIUC, it was for all the minorities.

Serb is having difficulty with the English language. Nationalization does not mean confiscation. We refer to the nationalization of the British coal industry by the Atlee govt for example, but that was quite legal.

Serb, you not knowing the exact location of 150'000 graves in SIBERIA (!!!) doens't mean they're not there. It's a lame argument, get a better one. True. The French also nationalised banks in the 1980's, but the owners were paid. And they were paid a pretty fair amount, not what Yukos got.
