      Waku,

No worries - we'll see if you turn up (are you on AIM too?) and if so, you can pick any civ that's left. You can even join mid-game I think...

I will try to arrange for a fourth player today, from those people I know are fairly reliable. If not, it will do no harm to have a three-way session.

So far, Chris is M. Bonaparte, I am Billy Pitt and Henrik is the verdammt Frederick Augustus III, King, by the Grace of God, of the creaking and worm-ridden Prussian State.

(Who I must not annoy too much, 'cos I will need his help to keep back Chris's garlic-soaked hordes....)

I will play the Colonies move when I get home tonight.

      John

        Lord Charles Monk writes…

        To the French ambassador:

You are hereby requested and required to remove your forces from the area adjacent to Fort Niagara, as specified in the Anglo-French peace treaty of 1680. Failure to do so during the course of 1699 will be considered a breach of that treaty, and appropriate action will be taken immediately, without further warning, to defend English interests.

Charles Monk, 2nd Duke of Albemarle

File sent to Chris and Posted here.

          • AIM

AIM is AOL Instant Messaging. Search for it with google and it is a small download & install.

Chris & Henrik are on it already. However, in game chat will do, except you will need an IP address from Chris or I to get started.

Tensions between the english and french are increasing as the year of 1700 draws closer...
Is war inevitable, I sure hope not
The last Huron settlement named long bend has been siezed and a sturdy stone bridge constructed where there used to be nothing but a ford.

Turn posted to Chris and here.

I'm not sure William III would be too popular if he steered his adopted country into a foreign war right now. His merchants are prospering, the budget every year is in surplus, and English goods are crisscrossing the world. All the while, scientific endeavour - particularly economic science - is advancing by leaps and bounds.

                      Still, soldiers can be hotheaded!

The English have moved, founded a new colony at Fort William, and done lots of economic stuff...
