  • Holland won't pay a single guilder in tarriffs.

We will ship overland before submitting to sea robbing.

    • French tolls

England fully supports the EDIT:[Dutch] position.

His Majesty's Government are astounded that the announcement of these tolls (which we will not pay) comes paired with an offer of an extension of the Peace Treaty.

How a Government that has resorted to extortion can expect other Governments to want to commit to lengthening the period in which that extortion can be practiced, amazes us.

However, these tolls are unlikely to be a direct causus belli, because British shipping, since the unfortunate terms of the recent treaty, no longer uses the St. Lawrence.

            NEVER the French, really

            No hard feelings Henrik.....

                • Gosh, all you peacemongers....

(But leave me out of the wars this time, the English have a minor draw and a major loss on their record so far. Not good. - Mind you, I was ganged up upon!)

                  • It should now be evident to the english that they will have to pay our tolls if they want to send ships out from Bornmouth
25 gold isnt a lot in any case, just making sure that I know about when you are shiping units around and such...

The extended peace offer is still standing, should I interpret your response as a no to an extended peace?

Industrialization continues in France (and the collonies)

                    • The Spanish Cabinete is very concerned about the self imposed role of Ruler of the Seas by the French and consider their attitude very arrogant. So said we won't come in defence of the French if they get involved in any war since they seem to be who spoil for a fight (Bourbonic pact is over).

Side note: The future generations will blame the spanish for having introduce smoking tobacco in London (I just hope this game doesn't last as long as to see some lawyers trying to get an indemnify because of damages on the british public health )

                        No seas involved
All I did was to set tolls on the river trade, which by this time was standard procedure, infact, I'd be stupid not to use the controll of the great lakes to my advantage.

However due to the international outrage at this toll, I have decided to remove it, however a formal request is still waranted if the english wish to pass my parts of the river (as stated above, I want to be sure I know where and when John is shiping his troops around, especially with all those posts about him building up his army).

The French is saddened by the fact that Spain seems to think that they can controll our domestic policies (tolls on river trade), if the Spanish monarch wishes to break up the burboun treaty (on a side note, who came up with this name? ) he may do so, however the french still consider the spanish people close friends

                        • Henrik,

Where's "Bornmouth"? Do you mean Falmouth?

I am happy to notify the French authorities when I need access to the St Lawrence (but as I don't need access, don't expect frequent requests!)

(I just hope this game doesn't last as long as to see some lawyers try
Nice one. Although it would have to be an American lawyer who tried that one - and we haven't given the colonist's their freedom yet! (Actually, it's a shame I can't create a Revolution event with the context of this game.)

Well, it seems the Bourbon Alliance is at an end. Can't say I shall cry too much!
