    • Well I promised to run a game at some point, and need pointers on how to make it excruciatingly tough, so that the mafia are only caught by luck.

      • Actually, it sucks if the mafia are caught by luck. Drives me mad. I have a whole series of clues, that you would have to be a flipping genius to solve from just the first clue, and the mafia gets docpiled at random and killed. Lucky villagers then celebrate their detective skills, I make the clues harder.

        • If the first mafia killed the second with the first killing, and the first mafia was Tass or Skanky, or at least someone who was looking at the wrong end of a docpile in the first round of votes then would you be tempted to get a new mafia in, or just write off the whole thing, and be depressed that your complex system of clues had been spoiled almost instantly?

          • The clues shouldn't be too hard to spot, lest the people stop searching for them and start piling at random.

Could missing chapter 5 be some kind of a clue?

A blind beggar named Pew is a principal actor in this chapter. He is also mentioned 2 chapters before in connection with the black spot he handed over to the captain. 'You have until 10 o'clock tonight' was written on the scrap of paper blackened on one side.

perhpas we can award one point for each vote for a mafia , jamski can tally them at end and announce winner, that way maybe people will look for clues instead of docpiling .... maybe @!!!!
That's not a bad idea Raz. why don't you try it in parallel with this current game and see what's the tally.

                  • The killer is obviously a pirate.

I mean, he came to kill all authority figures in the village, clearly aiming at letting the villagers defenseless.

I know what I'm talking about, since I intended to kill the whole Pirate crew

On the one hand, they are pressuring you to vote. On the other, you'd need to examine the clues too. But on the third, there's lots of Paradox games to be played. Tuberski.
