I did it when my kids were young. That was difficult. Thank goodness it paid off though. Never ever consider getting a higher education as "selling out".

I'm from the interior of BC, believe it or not. I used to go fishing with my Grandfather for 2 weeks out of the year when I was younger, off the coast of Kitimat.You sound like a Maritimer. No I'm not one, I'm in Alberta. I have been there though (Corner Brook NF) and have family down that way.
