In a nutshell:

- The complete integrity of Capitalism
- Complete support for The military
- Taking out any pissant dictator who crosses our path ( )
- A well defined welfare policy (re; jobs training, welfare only for a year depending on situation)
- A society based on Meritocracy, not race, religion, etc..
- The education of the sins and evils of communism
- The Integrity of Israel AND the right for a Palestinian State
- Harsher penelties for all criminals, BUT lesser penelties for drug users who seek out help (are not "caught")
- Public Services that cannot be contracted to the private sector is limit of government interaction.

The highway system was built during Ike's presidency for defensive purposes, but if you think only government can build a highway, consider who the government calls upon to build highways.

meritocracy= you advance in life based upon how hard you work, how smart you are, etc. Basically, what "merits" you have.


welfare policy;

There is no reason for most people to be on welfare their entire lives. In the USA in the early '90's there were nearly 5 million people on federal welfare, some of whom came from families with welfare. Most of these welfare reciprients were minorities, and, sadly, they believed the tripe that Demorats fed them about how they were incapable of getting off "due to the socio-economic system".

When the Republicans took over the senate, one of the first things they did was bang through legislation that set new standards for welfare. You were limited to one consecutive year of welfare. During this time, free job training was availible. Free childcare was availible for when you got a job.

Within a few years, 3 million people were off welfare and had self-sufficienty occupations. Most of the remaining people on welfare geniunly need it (mentally ill, etc.)

It is an excellant program, and it's worth noting that a (non-scientific) poll of the 3 million indicate they were now Republican for a bunch of reasons, among them they returned their dignity and made them productive members of society again.
