Rebuilding infrastructure is fine, making sure schools are functioning is fine, establishing or reestablishing a banking system is fine, but there is a major issue with any privatization or other structural changes in oil asset ownership or management.

Wrong, The fundamental asset we will be gaining is power. As in, not worrying about our power decreased by a WMDized Iraq, not being humiliated by the French forcing to not do something, and turning the most hostile state in the region to the most friendly one.
