And for the record, it's clear you really don't follow hockey very much. There's no way in hell Iginla is going to TO. Perhaps you don't know about him -- he's stated before he'd turn down better offers to stay with an Alberta team. Plus the rumours last week weren't for TO, but some American team (which were false). Iginla is considered "untouchable" by Button.

Can some one tell me how Alberta came to be populated with such confirmed wackos?

The Leafs are reportedly interested in Iginla if they don't get Nolan and I'm betting Calgary will move him in the next couple of weeks. He's wasted there and they could use the salary to sign three decent players.

        Anyway...

What you call trolling others would call a justifiable response to extremely silly comments, like your consistent buttlicking of the evil regime in Redmond.

Oh well, you can have a laugh: the Leafs are being walloped by the Preds again (although Almo has just made it 4-1).

Again, you really do have no idea what you're talking about.
          1) Iginla is under contract for next year already, bit over $7M/year for the Flames
          2) He's got personal reservations about leaving an Alberta team
          3) Craig Button, the Flames' GM, considers him one of the "Untouchables" on the team

And Iginla just got his second hat-trick in 2 weeks while the Flames are walloping Phoenix.

Yes, I'll look forward to seeing the Flames in the playoffs.

And we shall see about JI. I think it makes sense for Calgary to move him, they don't have any prospects of making the playoffs with him and they may as well get some good young prospects like Brad Boyes for him. One man can't make a team.

                Sources?

I don't see it. Calgary needs a marque player, Calgarians love Iginla, and he likes the town (go figure ).

Stand Pat won't get anything before the trade deadline. He's too busy coaching.

Not a good night for the Leafs, but they're still 8-2 in their last 10, and in fourth spot in the East.

Meanwhile, last place Calgary wins a meaningless game against 11th place Phoenix, a real battle of the powerhouses.

I think the NDP set a provincial record for "seats lost during one election" in the latest BC provincial elections,

Their current number of seats stands at 2. All the remaining seats are Liberals.

The threshold for 'official party status' is 4.

Our hockey team is not the Oilers.
                    Sure it is!

Hey, they tied tonight, which is an improvement from their last couple of efforts.

And Iginla is DEFINITELY trade bait. If Button gets a deal he likes, Iggy's gone. And I'll be able to cheer for him again.

Interestingly, I was looking for the Flames to make some big strides this year, what with getting Drury and all... Iginla and Drury on the same line? That would be something to take notice of. But then Iginla sputtered and Drury fell off, and the Flames dwindled to the Western Conference basement.

Ah well, one less team to worry about in that inevitable race for 8th.

Salo's the guy who scored on his own net in the olympics, right?

No. He jumped and the puck ricocheted off his head.

                        He lost to Belarus.

Niniimaa is a good defenseman. So will Eric Brewer be in a year or two.

And those Canucks are just getting their due. 20 years of playing third string to Calgary and Edmonton is enough for me.

I think Turek sucks too. Some nights he's phenomenal, other nights he wouldn't cut it in AA hockey.

He's too inconsistent, we need to find someone else next season.
