Well Paul, if you want to come and you hang around in Hull, there could well be a lift in it for you if you are nice to me

Yeah, Bristol in mid February is fine for me. If Mr Palme and Mr Hanson want to come they could give me a little bit of assistance with the petrol (I doubt it would be that much for all of us anyway...)

      End,

Are you also planning something special? or just a meet? When I organized the Freeciv conference in Amsterdam I also organized a trip through the city and a visit to a musuem with some special exhibits.

      P.S

Shouldn't this be in the community forum?
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

In the past we've all basically just met up in a pub just after midday and, er, stayed there.

Are you suggesting it should be in the Community forum for the right reasons, or because it would bring postcounts into play.

I can just imagine us all walking around looking for a museum in Reading.

When we did Leeds Provost, Buck et al got knackered just walking from one pub to the next.

At least when we found pubs it didn't cost £2.70 a pint...

Hey, I wasn't knackered (well I was). The fact that I had been puking my guts up the night before due to a very nasty gut infection made me a little bit weaker than normal...

I thought as much. Well you wasn't grumbling at your lift to Leeds I am surprised I made it actually, but for you lot, a soldiered on like a true martyr

I'll state now, I have no intention of ever going to Leeds again!

I have never been particularly fussed on Leeds. But hell, at least it's not Sheffield

There are some cracking pubs in Sheffield though. That huge Wetherspoons and then the funky alternative one next door...
