  • UK 'Poly Meet Jan/Feb/Mar 2003

As the other thread got hijacked and fell faster than the pound on Black Wednesday I thought maybe it would be worth reviving this thread.

Initial concensus seemed to be towards either Bristol or Reading some time in February... preferably close enough to my birthday to ensure I don't have to buy a round.

Why on earth would I want to go to Wales?

The Aberystwyth open day. I can kill two birds with one stone. If we had a meet then I wouldn't even need to concern myself with the FU*KING INSANE train timetable because I could just get so drunk that waking up with a hangover having spent the night in the station might make sense.

( N.B - I decided against going to the one in October because to do so would have meant me spending three ****ing days there if I wanted to get the whole of the open day. The trains seem designed to thwart me. )

You do realise just how far Aberystwyth is from anywhere, don't you?

I'll be up for Reading/Bristol. Not Wales though.

Will you be asking that young rascal Mr. Harrison for identification again?

Ooh, how are you getting down to Reading on the 8th anyway? I think I'm gonna get a train to Reading and meet Mike at the station.

I can probably do Bristol as easily as Reading. I have a potential place to stay in Bristol.

Scawby, for Christ's sakes. It'd make my life a hell of a lot easier.
