Of course it doesn't mean its impossible for a non-minority to get the job, but if they specifically mention minorities in the ad then its pretty obvious that they think favorably towards hiring them over non-minorities.

How many times have you been turned down for British jobs for being too white?
Not that I think I have, but how would I even know? It's not like they would come out and say it.

yea, as if one would know that they have turned down for thier colour - they are hardly likely to state it in thier reasoning.

One thing is for sure, where i work one of the Junior Managers, who was promoted about 3 years ago, remains about the most incompetant person in the whole business, he would be out of his depth in any dept but somehow, was seen fit to be given this job above undoughtably better candidates. There are many people who suspect his colour was to do with the appointment.

You know, in the States we pick on skinheads at school and beat them up. In Britain, you elect them to political office.

Remind me again, which country is full of rustic hicks?

            Rothy

I do not categorise my views as PC I just happen to think a certain way, as for Yorkshire being a full of level headed anti PC people, it is a region like any other some good people some stupid idiots, there are 6 million in yorkshire.

BTW if you think being anti PC is being able to be racist tehn I am glad you consider me PC

I support the BNP's policies of true equality, rather than this "treat the immigrants better in order to make up for [some undefined] discrimination".

I agree that sometimes the BNP goes too far. We can't agree with every party's policy. For instance, I voted Labour at the last election but I don't fully agree with their stance on the Euro.

The whole basis of the BNP is racists, therfore supporting them means you are rcaist.

Mainstream non racist democratic parties will always have policies you disagree with, but those policies are not designes to cause hate and oppression.

I would much rather see the BNP members and supporters deported to some godforsaken rock ( we must have some unoccupied ones in the atlantic or pacific) than deport any immigrant legal or otherwise. They are far more dangerous to UK society than any minority ethnic grouping

Boddies. Please read Laz's post which is full of actual facts rather than your uninformed speculation.

I love living in a multi-cultural country. It saddens me to see all these rasist opinions being supported by young educated people who should know better.

"Why do you support the reduction of the welfare state, yet also support extremely authoritarian (BNP, I presume) immigration policies?"

Good insight. I often wonder why so-called rightists will talk so much about the free flow of certain commodities, but the most significant one for ordinary people, the free flow of labour, that has to be tightly regulated? I don't get it.

Why is one 'disruptive' and bad, and the other is a 'fact of life that we just have to live with'?

you seem to think that minorities are being treated better and therefore more equality is needed, but your first assertion is just bollocks. There may be people who think minorities are getting a better deal, this however is never proven and is put forward by the BNP that bastion of fairness to increase their support.

                                Typo.

OK, I have no problem with that. You are going to have to give up a lot of stuff to get equality with the Asylum Seekers though. Or pay a lot more tax to raise them up to your standard of living. I'm still not convinced you read Laz's post about the actual FACTS of what we're talking about. If you did you didn't come up with any evidence to support what you were saying about asylum seekers living in luxury at our expense. Or any evidence that they DON'T integrate into our society, work, and pay taxes. And consequently make the country a more interesting and culturally diverse place to live. I think it's because you have absolutely no basis for what you say other than some rehashing of rightwing tabloid editorials.

Bearing in mind your statements have shown in the past that you have issues with:

                                1. Asylum seekers
                                2. Homosexuals
                                3. Bi-sexuals
                                4. Young Townies/Garage kids
                                5. Women
                                6. "Alternative" people
                                7. Southerners

                                And I'm probably missing some...

I sometimes get the feeling that you dislike anyone that isn't exactly like you. Don't you think that's a bit weird? I don't really know if you really are a racist or not. You are certainly homophobic from statements you've made here before. (Your statements about gay men kissing in public are enough to condemn you there).
