I don't think it's in small pieces, since Helsingin Sanomat reports the unidentified victim's clothing (gray T-Shirt, blue XL college shirt, blue wind jacket or deck jacket, blue L sweatpants, lenght 180 cm)

So it was either his mistake, like trying to set a timer and mistakengly causing an explosion, or you just had your first suicide bombing.

Definitely seems politically motivated to me, not one man's crazy action.

Could be a variety of radical groups or emerging "cells" that would regard a shopping mall, or the people in it, as their opponent.

I have a few guesses, but this is not the time to bring them forward I think. The investigation will uncover it, I'm sure.

For those who are interested in following this, here's a link in English to the largest Finnish newspaper. It was last updated at noon local time.

This is getting more unsettling with each new piece of information surfacing. Clearly a group of people is behind an attack on this scale.

The act was apparently committed by a university student from Helsinki who was under 20 years old. Might very well have been a Swede because only they can get into Helsinki University that soon after high school

It was the unidentified guy... looks like a suicide attack but it's also possible that the bomb went off accidentally
