Yeah, there is also more I could do with the drums. I just put down a basic beat for now though. I like that heavy kind of music too.
Will you still reply to my posts ?
Of course! Thanks for the comments.

Its great to see americans getting into the sport.

Do you get to watch rugby on TV much?

Yes, what utter garbage. I dont know why he would even say that when its bound to fire up the ABs even more. Hopefully Australia will lose to England in November. Then Eales can shove his opinions up his arse.

        • A few pages ago, Tamerlin echoed the fact that in France it is as in England, that is every rugby supporter supports a club first, then the national team (which is above but after, if that makes sense). That is true in Southern and Southwestern France, where there are clubs to back. In Northern half, you usually only support the XV de France for lack of a good team nearby. But most northern supportesrs have a strong Toulousain accent anyway. And, well, there is the Stade Francais in Paris, but it is not the same thing... Speaking of which, pray for me, I will be playing the folklo ("old") Stade players on Thursday evening next week. For some reason, I think I might want to take the Friday off...

Oh, sorry. It just seemed to me the two were travelling, um, hand in hand.

You often accuse me of clutching at straws but if Jonno is the player you have fingered loitering I think you have deposed me on that one.

Stirring. Everyone's a threat at this stage. The England/South Africa pool is the fascinating one with all its possible ramifications.

Don’t fake injuries – teach your flankers to illegally grab opposition ball.
Yes, a much more useful option.

Please look after notre ami LDiCesares jeudi
Let him not be taken head-high
Let him spot the gaps before they appear
And lead him to step off the correct foot
If his pass is slightly forward
              Smite the ref with blindness
If he enters from the side at the breakdown

Not really, considering most of the rugby over here is shown on Fox Sports World, and I don't have digital cable. I did see a couple of the Super 12 games last year though, including the Sharks vs. Crusaders, which the Sharks should have won IMO.

Foxtel cable has just added ESPN to its sports channels. Scummy in the extreme it is too. Except, the other day, flicking through the channels, I found ESPN showing Argentinan club rugby!

Now I've got NPC matches, Currie Cup matches and Argentinian club matches. All I'm missing is ...

                        Toulouse 28 d London Irish 23
Neath 16 drew with Leicester 16
                        Gloucester 35 d Munster 16

And Leicester, it seems, are fishing in the L***** pond.

                        • The victory of the Stade Toulousain has not been an easy one, the London Irish team has actually played better than the "Stade", the London Irish players displayed a very classical game, a solid one with few handling errors. They have lacked some imagination during one or two attacks which would have led them to victory.

For the Stade Toulousain this game is a Pyrrhus Victory as four players have been injured, the London Irish game was tough (a great physical challenge), two of them are second rowers (Gérard and Bouilhou) out for a few weeks.

I fear the 2002-2003 european campaign of the Stade Toulousain will be as short as last year's one.

An Australian RL fan I work with tried using the final result to get my goat, so to speak.

I could only gaze upon said unfortunate chap in amazement at the implicatation that I might actually care one way or the other.

That's nothing. You just try carrying Havaks empties for a bit. Gives totally new meaning to the phrase " the weight of the world on ones shoulders".

Incidentally, do I get a card for (Don't say yes just on principle finbar ) bringing up the Americas cup?
Its looking as though it could turn into a pretty good contest at the moment - assuming they eventually manage to get any sailing in mind you. 45 knot winds! Ouch.

At the risk of upsetting Finbar even more it seems the Wallabies are incapable of simply playing the game and have to build up with all sorts of nonsense, stirring and mind-screws. Sure all teams do it but not on quite the same scale perhaps?

Oh, sorry. It just seemed to me the two were travelling, um, hand in hand.

                              Quite independent as it happens.

So you don’t believe Aussie coaches use the “fall to the floor” ploy then? That would be an interesting point to defend as I watched Glaws-Munster Saturday and, in a desperate attempt to disrupt a vastly superior side Munster players were going down left, right and centre! I remind you – Alan Gaffney coaches them now.

I saw h** a number of times - arms high in the air, that innocent look on h** face
Would you like my help in recognising him next time? You are clearly confusing him with (insert any Wallaby name here).

I suspect our friend the L***** player is just leveraging his next contract – unless he can play Stand off in which case we will have him!

And for once Healey is quite right – the referee Friday was truly atrocious with some of the penalties defying belief. The one in question from the quote was a defensive ruck for Tigers where a Neath player was lying on the wrong side. Tournaire uses his boot to encourage the guy to move and *bang* penalty for ‘stamping’ and a totally undeserved draw for the Welsh. Also it has to be Carte Blanche to lie on the wrong side with this ref in future.

And the ref in question – well his shoulder has healed nicely – yes indeed it was one David ‘pedant’ McHugh.

I was amazed The Exiles pushed Stade Toulousain so close – their domestic form has been very poor. Sadly Tamerlin may be right and the French challenge will come from elsewhere.

On that note Sale are very unhappy about the ref imposing uncontested scrums for 20 mins when their French opponents lost a front row through injury. Apparently one of the lads on the Bourgoin bench had front row experience though the coach denied it – a nasty little ‘diplomatic’ incident is brewing.

You just try carrying Havaks empties for a bit. Gives totally new meaning to the phrase “the weight of the world on ones shoulders”
Is this an offer to carry them?
It is better to keep silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt

                              • Hey! You forgot the most interesting HCup info!
                                First:
Biarriz bet Cardiff (26-15, but actually to a pulp).
The BO was vastly superior to the Welsh in the front row, but didn't manage to score for a long while. Only when Stcherbina came to play did they manage to score tries. Cardiff was quite uninspired, and I am happy I wasn't their tight prop.

                                Second:
                                Very bad news...
The French TV says (in the Midi Olympique) they will no longer show the European Cup. This is because the French clubs and spectators aren't interested enough. This in turn would mean Heineken would withdraw from the cup, which doesn't bode well for its future. They are giving hints that a more concise cup, more concentrated in time and with less teams, might be more appealing to the average telespectator. As far as the clubs are concerned, they feel that the level of the cup is not higher than the French championship, that is italian, scot and, to some extent, welsh teams, are not really worth meeting at that level.
This is one more bad news for French clubs, as Canal+ is giving them less money too. Generally, the audience for clubs is too small to warrant TV rights or even to be shown on TV. Only the XV de France seems to be able to attract spectators (and even then, the VI nations is almost reduced to France vs England now, though the Irish really deserve watching). That and the final of the French championship.
