Having no girls is fine for two main reasons:
    1. Girls are more into you. Unless you are some loser, you will know girls from other places. These girls find you automatically more interesting than the guys at their own schools.

    2. You can act like a guy. You don't have to watch your language at all. You don't have to comb your hair. You don't have to worry about looking nice. Your clothes don't have to coordinate. No one will make fun of you for this because it is an all guys school and you aren't trying to impress anyone.
Now we're talking Boys only schools are very cool. Its fun, its tough but you have a ball.

I went to an all boys college from the age of 10 and its obvious that I'm well adjusted

Is this a day school or a boarding school, either way it probably doesn't make much difference. Single sex boarding schools usually have an opposite sex counter part, to organize dances with for the older students. Before the days of coed college here in the US that's how they did it. If they stay at home well it doesn't mean crap, you can date girls that don't go to your school, it's just a lot harder in high school to do it that way.

No offense Will but you're not what I'd call a prime positive example of being the product of an all-boy school. You've got lots of issues to work through.

I'm not sure this is true at all. Girls tend to like going out with guys at the same school so they can show off to all of their friends. When they tell their friends they're seeing a boy from another school they tend to roll their eyes.

This is Australia, they don't do any of that even if the girls are around.

Its a day school only a couple of miles from our new house. The boys can catch the bus there. 4 brothers in an all boy school plus Dad whose an old boy of an all male college hell - we'd be taking over, soon be a heavy weight family there, taking no sh*t from anyone.

I wouldn't send em to a catholic boarding school - I don't want them touched up during the night.

None offense taken. I would probably have even more problems if I went to my local public school. I'm working through my problems quite well too. I'm not using my self as evidence for anything though. I'm talking about the people around me.

Bah. They like to impress their friends. If their friends roll their eyes it is out of jelousey.

Aussies must do something different around girls though.

Or because they don't believe them.

Seriously though, I don't buy the excuse it "keeps their mind off of sex" like Horsie said. Nothing will keep their minds off of sex in high school, save for castration. Going to an all boys school will only restrict access to sex for most of the time, with a heterosexual partner. Like in a prison, I'm sure the rate of homosexual behavior is going to be higher in an all boys school than a co-ed school.

I should hope you don't overprotect your kids, Horse. The real world has women, why shouldn't school?

Millions of kids go to single sex schools all over the world - it was what made Britain great
If i was to take this seriously...
The great empire builders who were the products of the british schooling system you're advocating:

Cecil Rhodes (Moulder of sub-saharan africa) had terrible problems with women to the point of mysogony. IIRC, he never married or had a serious relationship with a woman.

Kitchener has a weird thing for washing young boys

Other examples will be given on demand

                    2. You can act like a guy. You don't have to watch your language at all. You don't have to comb your hair. You don't have to worry about looking nice. I dont want to generalise but thats the sort of attitude that comes from all boys school.

Thinking that there's a "guy" way of acting (burping/farting/being scruffy) and a "girl" way of acting
(not burping/not farting/clean and tidy the whole time/love of kittens and sewing/never swearing)

We find our inspiration in Mary, whom we call our Good Mother. Her image, along with many other religious pictures and symbols, adorn the walls of the College, reminding us of our commitment to strive to be more faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.
Found that gem in the religious education guide.

Yes, I strongly approve of feudal religious imagery around the school. Good preparation for communism and/or iconographic capitalist consumer culture whichever wins out in the end. I like this school more and more.

I thought it was "rum, sodomy and the lash" that made Britain great.
What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding?

Yes and where did they learn that? At school of course

All boys schools = sports, fascism, and buggery. At least this is an Aussie school with decent sports. The lads can ruck over who'll be getting sloppy seconds with the younger kids.
                              John Brown did nothing wrong.
