I'm amazed you seriously think it'll aid your kids to put them in an all-boys school.

Or because they don't believe them.
It isn't like we don't meet their friends. Heck, even I've met past girlfriends' friends. I went to a journalism camp late last June. All the girls were into people from my school.

Seriously though, I don't buy the excuse it "keeps their mind off of sex" like Horsie said. Nothing will keep their minds off of sex in high school, save for castration. Going to an all boys school will only restrict access to sex for most of the time, with a heterosexual partner. Like in a prison, I'm sure the rate of homosexual behavior is going to be higher in an all boys school than a co-ed school.
I should hope you don't overprotect your kids, Horse. The real world has women, why shouldn't school?
Of course it doesn't keep minds of sex. Last year the class of 2002 watched a porno during a theology class because the teacher was absent and the sub didn't check her box to know she was subbing. It was especially funny because it was on a gianormous projector thing.
And the rate of homosexual behavior is not higher. I've got only two gay guys in my class (they aren't friends by the way). Only one of them has ever gotten any and that was about six years ago.

I dont want to generalise but thats the sort of attitude that comes from all boys school.
Thinking that there's a "guy" way of acting (burping/farting/being scruffy) and a "girl" way of acting
(not burping/not farting/clean and tidy the whole time/love of kittens and sewing/never swearing)
I'm just saying there is no reason not to do that stuff because there are no girls around to offend.

They should go to whatever rates the piss-poorest for education in Aussieland. God help us if anything from your loins becomes intelligent.
Oh that's simple - send em to a co-educational public school - Its a passport to underachievement.

I had a few friends in college who went to all-boys/all-girls schools, and they all loved it there and came out fairly well-adjusted. It didn't seem to turn them homosexual, and they seemed to relate to members of the opposite sex a whole lot better than a lot of people I knew.
The single-gender schools these people went to didn't completely separate them from the opposite sex, since they still had contact when school was out. All it did was take out most of the bull**** that is an integral part of everybody's raging hormones during adolescense--they didn't act like morons in order to get into somebody's pants, because there was nobody around to impress.

more exposure to girls will make them more sensitive...and what if they are better friends with girls than guys? I know I am...

Girls can just make better friends than guys. Most guys don't care to be very sensitive so most friendships just stay pretty shallow.

Hmm, if they are insecure nerds is it probably a good idea. Otherwise not.
(and I'm actually not sarcastic for once...)
I agree with Asher, it might mess up their view of girls and sexuality. (Not meaning they'd go gay, just messed up. Objectification of women, comittment issues etc). Of course, if they are insecure nerds they carry some of this already, and exposure to sometimes incredibly cruel high school girls might just make it worse. Your call, Horsie.
Okay brainiacs - what's the difference between going to an all male school or growing up in an all male household or working in an all male office? Are all these people screwed up by the experience?

Unless the lads are having trouble with girls banging on the door at all hours then same sex schools probably aren't a good idea. Are they a bad idea? That's the gamble I guess.
On balance it probably won't effect them to much one way or the other, but, the real world does have girls in it and the sooner they get comfortable interacting in a mixed gender enviroment the better they will do in business, social interactions, dating and what not. I can't see a down side to sending them but I certainly can see an upside to not sending them.
