  • Pollution is not a problem of capitalism, Jon, it's a problem of scale and a modern world. Hellllllllllllooooooooo.

And just so you know, Jon, I'm not talking about just living space. The main problems are food and pollution.

You seem to think that the arbitrary delineation of national borders somehow makes overpopulation in one part of the world not apply to those regions where there is sparse population...interesting.

      • Asher, everyone knows there was no pollution in Soviet Russian and the Eastern Bloc. Duh. Their governments told us so themselves...

But the fact remains that we don't actually need all these new babies to the point where you'd feel compelled to "cure" homosexuality at the gene level.

If you truly fear homosexuals to the point of wanting them to be cured, one has to wonder what your motives truly are.
Asher, the "cure" will be there for parents to use at their discretion. This is a matter of privacy. The state will not be able to interfere.

I suspect that the average parent will choose to "fix" the problem, along with any other genetic problems their potential kid has. The future will be like Gattacca.

The real problem is the people who judge it was a problem, and unfortunately there's no genetic way to fix that.

If China and other nations really cared about their people they could feed them fine

yes, I did not worry about national borders in my statement

that is because immegration should be open (as long as you treat your new nation as your nation)

food and space are not issues

if you look at the numbers there is more than enough space for everyone

and there is more than enough food (the US could easily feed the world, many of our farmers get paid not to produce food, many other places are similar)

the pollution problem is bigger, but it can be adressed by dismantling the corporations

Jon is arguing that the world is underpopulated, and thus it is a problem that the vast majority of homosexuals do not reproduce.
