We're supposed to get them in a month or so. They had a "paper launch", they won't even ship the physical cards to reviewers until 2 weeks from now.
All of the benchmarks you've seen online were from the ATI rigs they set up. They invited the press to come play on them and run some benchmarks and watch demos...
But even though the Radeon 9700 looks very enticing (which it is), the next-gen Nvidia card (NV30) is also waiting to be unveiled. Actually, Nvidia screwed up and posted a PDF file about some of the NV30 features online on their site today, and it kills the Radeon in the areas mentioned..."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate.
