Yes they just got a goal but how the hell can you in any way say that Brazil played any form of football before or after that?

Agreed. English should be happy that Brazil is through, they would have a tougher job cracking Belgium...

Bodds is a ignorant dock-head that's so in love with England that he has a french-speaking nationalist and proto-facist as an idol. Wouldn't take him seriously.

"I think a world cup success is wasted on the american people"

This is probably true. For some reason, I can't bring myself to be as excited as when I watch a regular Notre Dame - Michigan football game. But I think we all wish our team success.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Who knows. We could have a riot or two.

Viceroy: Don't worry you don't have to go looking, just was saying is all . And I agree they were daft. Because I knew we play them every year, and we play them tough, and lately we've been beating them a lot!

                      Do you think you'll be(at) Germany ??

Not sure. It'll be close, though. Germany is a scary team. Klose has great finishing and we'll have to contain him. Maybe if we play the catenaccio we played today we could get some good counterattacking. Ultimatly though, I think this run ends in the Quarterfinals (then again, I though Mexico would beat the US in Golden Goal) 2-1.

That is nonsense, my friend. When playing in extra time, the players from Senegal were more tired than the Swedes. The game was played in about 30 degrees Celsius. The Senegal players are very good, it has nothing to do with tolerating heat better.

You are just as wrong about sports as you are about politics!

Holland didn't even qualify for the World Cup, and the USA is in the 3rd round! Goes to show the USA is better then Holland at soccer(football where you are).

The English FA have never discriminated against ANY foreign national playing in the league. The requirement for a work permit is similar to most other EU countries.

Compare this to UEFA, and individual European leagues, that prevented more than a set number foreigners to partake in a game. Those rules really screwed me over when playing Championship Manager 2 - I bought an all star team for Inter Milan, then found I couldn't play more than three of them in any game!!!.

As for inferior or not. The Senegalese players all play in France and have thus far showed up quite a decent tactical sence. Tactical sence isn't the same as boring though.

I'd think England in many ways are more inferior. Outdated managers, inferiour training, unprofessional attitude and bad diets amoungst the players...
