Laws must be applied equally to all, or they mean nothing.

ALL foriegn nationals should be fingerprinted, or none at all.
    Exactly!

    • But does that include the Canadians?

At first I thought you were asking whether the fingerprinting rules should include Canadian nationals, but then it occured to be you could be asking whether Canada should also be fingerprinting foreign nationals.

        • Z, It seems to me that if the Canandian adopt the same practices as we do with respect to visitors to Canada, there would be no need to tighten security at our border. However, if they choose to ignore our requests, then we will have to tighten security at our borders.

But back to the point of "equality" of treatment of foreign nationals, if this were absolutely required, then of course we would have to fingerprint all Canadians as well, wouldn't we.

That doesn't make any sense. Neither does it, IMHO, to not focus the fingerprinting requirement on nationals of known terrorist-harboring states.

            • Well, panag the US an Canada will simply have to beef up our Coast Guards.

I was wondering, Panag, just how so many bombers can make it into Israel from the West Bank? Are there tunnels or the like?
