  • Russia in ten years

So, what's your prediction - what is Russia going to be like in ten years?

Uhm, that last poll option was supposed to be 'banana' in Russian. Mods, if you please...?

Also, my prediction is that Russia will take over Finland and kill all Finns. There, now you foreign gits don't have to say that.

You think Russia is more powerful than Britian at the moment?

When my encoding's on Cyrilic(windows) the last option looks like 6ahah. Is that what it should be?
          I refute it thus!

66% say Russia will be a democratic, capitalist state. That's plain silly. Putin only allows democrats that agree with him.

I was going to say that. It is ridiculous to say Russia is more powerful when Britain is disposing of nuclear weapons for them.

Russia does not hold global influence nor can it send troops to as many parts of the world.

Britain is more powerful than the crime-ridden corrupt state that is modern Russia.

Democracy will grow in acceptance, but due to Russian's long history with strong central governmental control, it will evolve along Scandinavian lines, not along U.S. lines.

The kleptocracy with plagued Russia after the change over will receed as it become clearer that honest business dealings give more stability and long term profits than thievery. With this growing economic predictablity, Russian's wealth will increase.

Powerwise vis-a-vis the U.K., Russian will have a stronger army, a weaker navy and will project itself less around the world. So the two will average out.

Exactly, Russia is in decay, it's military is outdated, it's economy is in the toilet and it is horribly corrupt. Things are getting better, but it ain't like they could get much worse...

Sure they do. They can sell them buggers.

Much cheaper than those US thieves too I may add.

Russia still has a lot of influence in most critical areas of the world, if only because of its location and land area.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

More so than the UK though?
