      It was both.
      John Hurt was Winston Smith.
      Richard Burton was O'Brien.

It also had lousy sets, lousy music, ugh, I could go on & on.

I was 17 (or maybe 16) when I saw 1984 as well... and while I agree the movie was boring, the nudity was not exactly that boring, although the capacities were not maxed out

Out of Africa was so boring that neither my wife nor I could stay awake.
"THE" plus "IRS" makes "THEIRS". Coincidence? I think not.

If you're sitting there in the theater, and the movie really stinks, do you go get a refund, just leave, or sit through the thing, hoping it will get better eventually?

Are there any movies you've paid to see in the theater, but they were so bad you got up and left before the end?

You guys have to see " The revenge of Spartacus".

Spartacus dies 10 minutes into the movie.
                    What?

Yes. I hear it got better in the second half, but up until the first hour it was a predictable, unscary and painfully boring horror which kept trying to scare you using the tried and tested "Scary Music - Footsteps in gravel - dark man sneaking - Boo! - oh, it's only the husband" tactic to induce *cough* suspense.

I have walked out of a couple of movies, though I never demanded a refund. I figure if I was so lacking in critical thought as to actually believe that there was some merit to "The Mummy" or "Coast to Coast", I deserve to be out some bucks. Probably got off cheaply, come to think about it.

Most over-hyped, worst movie in recent memory- "Theres something about mary." I couldn't sit through it.

Lord of the Flies, the newer one.

if you've ever read the book you must understand that movie sucked big time

The Perfect Storm and Titanic tie for second on my list.

The first Tremors wasn't bad, 2+ 3 blo though
