As for the Israelis, i agree that they'd probably be tempted to support the US, but then that would give the arab world an opportunity to get involved, with the guarantee the the EU would not be "impartial" spectators but instead would give them all the support they could. (That probably wouldn't be much considering they'd have the US on their hands but still...)
And you also have to ask: what would Russia do?

Id imagine China would sit back and let them destroy each other .. however, the question would be, what would they do if one was obviously winning , and with suprising amount of sucess ..

Russia also would be interesting .. and India .. I imagine both would stay out, and also who was the aggresor .. if the EU invaded the US .. or tried .. I would imagine the US would try and get Russia to help .. would they ??? not sure.

But if the US invaded EU .. well, it would be a lot more concerning for them, wondering if the US was going to stop at taking Europe ...

India would sit and accept whatever happens, Im not sure they are really in any position yet to contribute .. but in 20-30 years, who's to say.

I'd probably hit Britain first, to get a little bit of a foothold and then.... Normandy again. Blitz the French, and Spain. Then dig in against the Germans and Take your time playing with the Italian Army. Cruise missles could help as well.

I guess the one thing they all have in common is : if either the US or the EU was to succeed in invading the other, that would most probably mean world domination on the short/medium term for the winner. (After reconstruction)

I just could not see China getting involved .. I could imagine them using it as a jumping board diplomatically, especially if there was a lot of re-building needed.

If the EU won in the US, how long would it be before Canada joined .. Im sure they would have got involved anyway .. and so probably would join instantly . .I imagine Mexico would also join .. that would most certainly be an issue for China if they wish to become a world super power .. It would dwalf them ..

Maybe China would flip to Democracy, and all the S.Asian nations would join together, including Japan .. What would S.America, Australia and Africa/Middle East do ?????

Its hard to imagine a world, where there is only 3 or 4 countries .. but who knows ..

EU - Iceland - Greenland - Canada - US would be the best way to invade the US. Enough space for airports to station aircraft protecting the shipping route, alongside EU navies. All we need is to get Canada in . After that the Midwest can be invaded and the US is doomed

It would be a huge stretch for either entity to do this. one facotr that I always see underestimated is the lack of unity of command in the EU. It's not a country. It's a collection of countries. You can't just combine armies and navies either. It's not civ...

Well...that's another issue...

But even if the alliance held together at a political level, the different armies don't add up like little Risk pieces. A strong, unified force will beat a diverse molygolt of patched together forces.

Also the US has some "premier" type equipment which the EU doesn't (aircraft carriers, EA6's , etc.)
