air to air kills in the gulf are totally irrelevant. My roommate was a fighter pilot in the Gulf War. He said it was incredibly boring. They flew with almost no opposition. Only one plane in his squadron had a kill and that was on a helicopter. The action was in the bombing. Those guys were doing stuff with their ordnance...not the fighter guys.
