i am 24 and I had my 13 years under the system, but enough to remember it well, and this is true what you say, for an ordinary preson life was more than bearable, and you did not feel the repression outright. However (my mother is running a private business so was my grandfather) times were not so loose before as they became in 70's and 80's when we exploited foreign debt and the situation.
