  • I suppose NYE has had the only good good point in this thread this far - didn't they get a healthier VP when Cheney is as he is? I mean, I find it hard to believe his charisma was a major factor in Shrub's reelection ...

    • symbolism over substance.
I think communist care about substance, but usually end up with symbolism.

              From the article...

The Post's Givhan said Cheney might have been hoping to avoid the cold weather in Oswiecim, but noted he had worn a dark overcoat and no hat at all at another recent winter occasion -- his own swearing-in ceremony on Inauguration Day on Jan. 20 in snow-dusted Washington.

"The vice president might have been warm in his parka, ski cap and hiking boots," Givhan said. "But they had the unfortunate effect of suggesting he was more concerned with his own comfort than the reason for braving the cold at all."

              • Maybe the inauguration made him realize not wearing warm clothes was a bad idea.

                • What, he never made the connection snow == cold?!

The more I look at this thread, the funnier the situation gets though.

I called his attire disrespectful and innapropriate. Paint me red.

                            Considering he's Republican, maybe not.

Or he just hadn't accepted before that he couldn't handle cold very well any longer.

Now, had his gives a **** been any considerably less broken than mine, I'm sure we could've got himself a black parka; I seem to recall Mr Cheney isn't exactly poor.

                            • Huh?

You limousine liberals with your French barbers, fashion experts and male make-up just don't get the point of this visit, do you?

Cheney, an old man with severe health problems, travelled tens of thousands of miles just to show his compassion, offer his prayers to all holocaust victims, and you idiots start yelling at him because you didn't like his dress? Perhaps if you would've known any survivors of these death camps you'd actually understand what sacred, joint moment of silence among world leaders was all about.

Hint: It wasn't about fancy-ass suits or sharing your stylist tips, hippies.
