You can't move STL around. They have to stay with SF, because of the rivalry. Moving NO and Atl was no big deal, because those teams always sucked.

Now is the time to get the Dallas-Washington thing realigned. Both teams suck, so what's the point?
If they could move Pittsbugh, Baltimore, and Cleveland for the merger, the game can survive this too.
Only problem is the Incredble Ego, Mr. Jerry Jones, who basically feels the game owes him whatever he wants, since he was instrumental in opening most of the larger revenue streams (negotiated the big network deals, showed the way on merchandising and luxury boxes) that all teams now enjoy.
The shame of it is that Dallas and Washington are pretty much automatic sellouts anyway, so there's no real reason for these false divisional alignments to continue.
Sadly, it won't happen. But I agree that it should.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

That makes sense re-alignment wise, especially if the Vikings are moving to LA.
And you mean Rams not Cardinals..

Because it is still the biggest rivalry in NFL history. Green Bay-Chicago-Detroit may be older, but none have been as viscious.

Rams-Niners is a big time rivalry. No one has a rivalry with the Cards. They are free to move around.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Would not work because LA doesnt give a damn about football. If they did they would have a team already...
And yes, I meant Cardinals. Rams have too big a rivalry, and as Imran said, no one cares about the Cards (except maybe the Rams, but if that were classified as a rivalry, it would be the weakest of the lot)/

Most interesting playoff berth clinching scenario this week:
As for clinching scenarios for New England, it can win the AFC East this week with a win against Cincinnati and a N.Y. Jets loss at Pittsburgh. The interesting twist there is that Pats fans might actually benefit more in the long run if they win and the Jets win, delaying the division crown clinching ceremony. That scenario would give New England a one-game advantage over Pittsburgh in their quest for home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. If the division title doesn't happen this week, New England can still earn a playoff berth this week with either a win or tie or any of the following occurring: a Baltimore loss or tie; a Denver loss or tie; or a Pittsburgh win or tie.
What's that? Why the Pittsburgh win/tie scenario? Well ... this is where tiebreakers start to get fun. Bottom line is that the worst New England can do, assuming a loss this week, is 11-5. That's where you need to start figuring out clinching scenarios. Only seven teams can get to 11-5 in the AFC, thus you need to get rid of one of those seven teams' ability to best New England in any tiebreaker so that the Pats will secure one of six playoff spots. The Baltimore loss or tie does that and the Denver loss or tie does that. Assuming Baltimore and Denver win, can New England still clinch due to the fact they beat Baltimore head-to-head and have advantage in other tiebreaker categories? The answer is no, but ONLY because Baltimore can still win the AFC North by tying Pittsburgh at 11-5 and would have a sweep over the Steelers to get there and then Pittsburgh could edge out New England in wild card tiebreakers. How do you avoid that? By having Pittsburgh win or tie this week, you avoid the Baltimore division title scenario and New England would earn a playoff berth. For the curious, in the case of a three team Wild Card tie at 11-5 between New England, Baltimore and Denver, Denver would advance as the #5 seed due to better record among common opponents (4-1 vs. 3-2 for the other two) and then New England would be the #6 seed based on head-to-head win against Baltimore. Is that clear? Hang in there ... it only gets worse.

Bad day for football Tele.
I get
Giants vs. Ravens (blah) Bet $20 to return $40 on the Giants(+10). Just to make it interesting so I'll prolly lose.
Steeler vs. Jets (should be good)
Packers vs. Lions
Eagles vs. Redskins. My friends bailed on me this weekend, so I won't even stay up to watch it.Last edited by Moral Hazard; December 12, 2004, 13:49.Accidently left my signature in this post.
