The Redskins play the Eagles again this week. The skins, who last week managed to finally show that at least their offense doesnt completely suck lemons. Should be interesting.

Yeah, if the spread is over 14, I'd take the Redskins on the points, but no way on the win.

NFL realignment proposal
This realignment is necessary to make sense geographically in NFL and will create better rivalvries:
NFC:
Dallas moves to West, St. Louis either moves to North (and Detroit moves East) or South (and Carolina moves East)
AFC:
Miami moves to South, Indianapolis moves to North, and Baltimore moves East.

Dallas can't move to the west, unless Washington moves with them. You can't break up the biggest rivalry in professional football without a better reason that to 'make sense geographically).
And Miami can't move away from the Jets and Pats. The realignment is wierd because of the rivalries that exist.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

WAS vs. CAR would over time become greater than WAS vs. DAL.. Every team in the East claims DAL as their best rivalry because of DAL's "Americas team" status. The Western teams need that kind of rivalry with DAL to inject some life in their division. The terrible attendance in ARI and the absence of football in LA is symptom of this..
In the North, DET would be no loss as it seems the most intense rivalries are between the other three teams. STL - CHI would become a good rivalry.
NYJ vs BAL. Jets fans will forget all about MIA with a worthy opponent like BAL right down 95. And MIA fans would love to beat their upstate rival JAX in the battle of Florida. I know that PIT vs PHL is always a special game....
IND vs CIN. These two cities are a stone's throw from each other. And IND vs PIT twice a year would be great football..

The new rivalries would be better.
No they wouldn't. That'd be like saying moving the Yankees and Red Sox to different divisions would make the rivalries better. Older rivalries are better because they run deep.
Breaking up Washington-Dallas is a no go. So is NYJ-Miami. Rivalries do not exist through geography alone.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Detroit out of the North?Detroit-Chicago is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, rivalries in pro football..
