    Rock The Boat
    ( The Hues Corporation )

So I'd like to know where, you got the notion
Said I'd like to know where, you got the notion
To rock the boat, don't rock the boat baby
Rock the boat, don't tip the boat over
Rock the boat, don't rock the boat baby
    Rock the boat

Ever since our voyage of love began
Your touch has thrilled me like the rush of the wind
And your arms have held me safe from a rolling sea
There's always been a quiet place to harbor you and me

Our love is like a ship on the ocean
We've been sailing with a cargo full of love and devotion

So I'd like to know where, you got the notion
Said I'd like to know where, you got the notion
To rock the boat, don't rock the boat baby
Rock the boat, don't tip the boat over
Rock the boat, don't rock the boat baby
    Rock the boat

Up to now we sailed through every storm
And I've always had your tender lips to keep me warm
Oh I need to have the strength that flows from you
Don't let me drift away my dear, when love can see me through

Our love is like a ship on the ocean
We've been sailing with a cargo full of love and devotion

So I'd like to know where, you got the notion
Said I'd like to know where, you got the notion
    To rock the boat
    Rock the boat
    Rock the boat
    Rock the boat
    Rock the boat
    Rock the boat
    Rock the boat
    Rock the boat

Like I said, not quite a landslide.

Uh, no. It's still aproximately a 3% difference between the two.

Be kind to the Republicans. They're celebrating because they didn't need the massive voter fraud of 2000. This time they relied on a message of fear, and alot of people bought it.

The Upper Midwest won't be safe territory for the Dems for much longer; demographic changes are making it increasingly favorable territory for the Republicans. If the Repubs don't blow this, they could have a structural advantage in the Electoral College for decades to come...

How is 51% considered a "blowout"?

Losing a tire on the freeway at 51 mph is a blowout.
Taking 51 dollars off of every $100 purchase is a blowout.
Doing 51 lines of finely-cut cocaine is a blowout.

Getting 51 percent of the popular vote is not a blowout.*

Especially when your opponent gets 57,122,374 votes -- the second most votes for President in history.

And it's another Bushism to think, with 51% of the votes, that he has a mandate.

And be careful what you wish for...true, the Republicans have control of the White House, both houses of Congress and the Supreme Court, but in four years, when they drive this country into the grounds, everyone will know who to blame.

Well, if Kerry had been a CONSERVATIVE he might have won. But of course, then he wouldn't have been Kerry.

Seriously though, the Republcans were the only party actively promoting their Moderate members and courting the Moderates this election, the Democrats shunned them and wallowed on the Liberal side till the last few weeks.

That's just going encourage even more swing towards the Republican camp.

The Media widely proclaimed Clinton to have a mandate in 92 after he won 43% of the vote.

In fact, there have been only two Democrats this century to win over 50% of the vote: FDR and LBJ.
