I know converts are the most extreme in their views, but you're just embarassing yourself now.

Am I paranoid to think I could be stung by a bee? Acknowledging a possibility is not the same thing as saying a thing is happening or will happen. I'm sorry if that's too simple a concept for you.
When did I say I was talking about you? God knows there's more than enough paranoid folks here to put into doubt the subject (or subjects, more likely) of my statement.

Sorry I was being logical.
It doesn't seem that way reading this...
Today, religious nutbags are in control of two branches of government, and their allies control the third (and they mean to take that too). While I expect them to abide by our laws, I at least acknowledge the possiblity that they won't.

You got me.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

Yes, if bees are few and far between.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

No. I'm only paranoid if I think I will be stung by a be. Even if bees are few and far between, there is still a mathematical possiblity to be stung by one, unless there are no bees what so ever.
It's the same with acknowleding the possibility of a coup d'etat. I don't think it will happen. But I at least realize there is a possibility of it actually happening, just like it's possible to flip a coin 100 times and get all heads.

I feel despair, that this man would kill himself over an election result.
Where is his family? Where are the people who love this young man who care for him deeply?
Such a waste. I'm only 2 years younger, now he has nothing more he can contribute.
Hell, if I were to commit suicide over the loss of the Conservatives in an election, I'd be the fool, and no one would be mourning me.
This is just sad. What's his family going to think?

A lot of people felt this was the most important election of their life time. It was going to decide the future of America. Either America was going to turn it's back on the forces of darkness and evil or embrace them. A lot of people are despondant that the forces of Mammon and Baalzebub won.

As much as I followed the elections, there were so many more important things in my life going on to even contemplate suicide or moving because a certain person won or lost an election. I suppose for those who have nothing else in their life worth thinking about the election would take on these mammoth perportations. Either that or their lives are so ****ed up that the election was the only thing that made any real sense to them.
Either way, I feel sorry for them.

Mammon nad Baalzebub won???? I though Kerry got beat?
Edwards had to be Mammon. He just looks like a Mammon kind of guy.
So that makes KErry Baalzebub.

No there isn't. Thee's no guarantee whatsoever that there will ever be another election in the United States. There probably will, but there is a tiny possibility that there won't be.
Not at all. Why would Bush & Co. suspend elections when they're able to win them?
