Most socially conservative religious people get really very, very, very little out of tax breaks for the rich. They could use some assistance with their healthcare. Their moms and dads could use a little more than token assistance with drug costs.

Are most socially conservative people motivated by economic concerns? Many of them are less well off financially, not because of their talents, or abilities, but because of their lifestyle decisions.

They do not want to live in a big city. They like the slower lifestyle.

So, to say that they will do better with more money, strikes a smile to most of them, who see money as not that important.

This is why, they flock to the party that shows them love, that welcomes them and their beliefs. This is also why they shun the Democrats, who spit in their faces, who mock their churches, at the same time as they kneel to receive communion.
