Looking at the county map, I'd say the reds would have an easy time of picking off the scattered blues, piece by piece.

Then again, it's not mentioned that most of the red counties have maybe 5 people tops living in them, whereas the blue counties are all thriving metropolises.

+Obviously, the results in the Presidential Race are disappointing, but Arkansas Democrats still have much of which they can and should be proud:
* All three of our Democratic incumbents in the Congressional Delegation -- U.S. Senator Blanche Lincoln, Congressman Marion Berry and Congressman Vic Snyder -- won by wide margins over their Republican challengers.
* We actually gained two seats in the Arkansas House of Representatives, giving us a 72-28 majority, and we maintained our 27-8 majority in the Arkansas Senate. No other state in the South can boast such a lopsided Democratic majority in its state Legislature.
* No Democratic incumbents were unseated in this year's legislative races. Democratic performance in legislative races was our best in at least a decade.
Our next priority is to build upon the five of seven state constitutional offices we hold by winning back the Governor's Mansion and the office of Lieutenant Governor in 2006.meet the new boss, same as the old bossComment
