Oh believe me, they can. If they have the right to break the entity, why wouldn´t they think they have the right to also keep the weapong, the money and everything else? Even if the logic says they cannot keep aything from the entity they are leaving from, they would.

All the countries aspiring to occupy the current US place as the first superpower would help (either openly or secretly) the rebels. Of course, they would say they do it in the name of freedom.

        • I hope someone would be stupid enough to give support to seccessionists, so after we finnished with them, the supporters would be next to feel our wrath.

You should plan on avoiding places like Calgary and Toronto in the morning since rush hour can really slow you down.

Also while Canadians don't have handguns like the Americans, a LOT of people have rifles and are frequent hunters. Ground troofs could face harssing sniper fire.

Oh Canadian ground forces ?? . . . well they would capitulate immediately when our tank wouldn't start.

            • As an Albertan, I can only say that a whole lot of Yanks who would be right of me would be welcome to join Canada.

Unfortunately, the people of Quebec and Ontario know that they would be to the right of the average Albertan, so that would end the experiment right about there. No way in hell would they let California and New York become provinces when CA by itself has as many people as all of Canada and we have more accurate rep by pop in the only place it matters (the House of Commons).

Yeah right, the armed forces will be as split as the states.

Compare it with an ethnic map of USA and You'll find out that that Mississippi democratic stain is due to large black community there - or so it seems

You bumped a 7 week old thread to say something inane like that?

The relevant comment was that the Red states would have to give that back to the North to be fair. You see, none of that stuff is actually in the North. So either way, the Red States get most of it.

                        • /me doubts Heresson couldn't find a decent thread between page 1 (12-25-2004) and page 49 (11-9-2004) totalling ~1225 individual threads...

                          • sorry, my mistake (decent).
I remembered the leech comment (because there are leeches in HoMM III), and when I've seen the map...
There's no reason to judge a thread by the date it was posted. I wouldn't mind resurrecting a thread 2 years old if I ever felt like it.
