Have you seen the Dan Darling material?

    Thanks

Well he says it was a ruse to make people think he was feeble and couldn't move. Though he thinks if he was in the home of a prominent Pakistani official, he'd get the treatment he needed. I do think though that if he was by a major population center someone would have found out something.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

thats what so special about Teheran. Its in a police state(much more controlled society than Pakistan), and it has (more or less) secret tunnel complexes.

"Kidney failure" might have meant any number of illnesses. It may be that he had prostate problems and a secondary urinary tract infection. Antibiotic treatment along with something to relax the spjincter of the bladder can work wonders for that. He might also have been eating too many aspirins. If that condition is caught early enough just stopping the aspirin can reverse the condition. It may be that he has diabetes mellitus and hypertension. Getting those conditions under control can stabilize renal function. Not every kidney disease leads to the need for dialysis.

Maybe his Pakistani doctor gave him the kidneys of one of the hostages.

This is a very appropriate time for this, the american public will feel terrorised and vote Bush in, and the circle will continue to turn. [shrugs] It was kinda predictable considering how close the election was running. I think its going to be many years before this scenario will be laid to rest.

In the video, Bin Laden says that Bush is misleading the American people. It seems like Bin Laden is getting his talking points from the DNC.
'There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.'"

well according to that bbc documentary that has been running over the last few weeks, each needs the other to keep their cause alive. I'm not saying they are in cahoots together - they really do want to kill each others 'side'. But its become a bitter irony that without the other each cant hope to win the 'hearts and minds' of their respective people's approval(bin ladens group has failed on numerous occasions to get the popular uprising he wanted in various countries around north africa and the middle-east).
It would almost be funny - except i just cant take the image of dead innocent men, women and children(!) out of my mind, from both sides

It's interesting that the US media agencies actively spread the message of bin Laden. Israeli security services have always suggested that terrorists should not be getting an easy opportunity to make themselves heard. All bin Laden has to do is make a videotape, and it gets aired, with US sources providing translations, airing parts of it or it all, etc. Whereas it might be more sensible to just submit the tape to the authorities and all - no advertising of bin Laden on TV.

Oh, and the search for Osama concluded in a complete failure, despite the announcement earlier this year that "his capture is imminient". It looks like the US has no idea of where he is, at all. And I somehow don't think that he's hiding in a cave all day, I believe he is living pretty nicely in a "friendly country". Could be Iran, very likely, heck, even Russia or China. Asia is a big place.

You know, Osama looks in better shape than Kerry or Bush do right now - and he's on the run from a superpower as well as having four wives to satisfy sexually.

                          Americans really are wimps.

It seems like it. He looked very healthy.
He should be since he is being held in a facility outside Washington and forced to produce tapes which then find their way to jeezie TV.
