I'm surprised that you aren't more pissed at the pitch & call Foulke got to strike out Edmonds and end the threat in the first of the eighth. That pitch was clearly a mile inside (it wasn't even close) and robbed the Cardinals of a chance to grab a lead they would need.
I was expecting Edmonds to strike out, and the pull back "hey it was inside" was hardly suprising coming from him.Comment

Yes, it was...hmmm...which team caught him? Pirates maybe? I can't recall, but yeah, it was pine tar. I think he got 7 games for it. He flipped his hat into the stands, so there was no evidence beyond what the ump saw.Originally posted by Lawrence of Arabia

Exciting game. Very fun to watch, but not a well played game
. There were too many errors all around (5 in total counting both teams). Both Wakefield and Williams looked overmatched by the offense. One point of concern for the Sox, Pujols and Rolen did nothing tonight. That won't stand for the rest of the series. When they start hitting... watch out!

Some of the errors were just brutal last night. But the BoSox should consider themselves lucky... they make a ton of errors, walk a bunch of batters, and get a win out of it. A fun game to watch.Keep on Civin'
