Womack is hurt! Collarbone, sternum, or windpipe.

      None of those are good.

Considering that he was marginally physically able to play last game and this, he might be done....I hope not, for his sake.

it didn't look like it hit him that hard. *****! . it hurts to get hit right there though. I've been hit there before. Even a bruise hurts like hell. It could be broken. I think it's the clavicle.

Great game, I think Boston will win this one, though I wonder how their pitching will go if it goes extras, they've run through the pitchers, seemingly...

It was not the cleanest played game, surely, but when you're spotted a 5 run cushion early in the game, you can more readily survive such mishaps.

Game 2 will be much more low scoring, at least from the Card's perspective. Morris however gives up homeruns like Manny muffs catches.

Schilling healthy = win. Let's just hope his ankle is good to go.

Maybe the cards won't be as timid as the yanks and actually make him field his position?

I'm surprised that you aren't more pissed at the pitch & call Foulke got to strike out Edmonds and end the threat in the first of the eighth. That pitch was clearly a mile inside (it wasn't even close) and robbed the Cardinals of a chance to grab a lead they would need.

When the hell did Bellhorn become a consistently clutch homer guy?

Almost left when it was 7-2. I mean, who wants to watch a blow out?? Who'd have guessed the Red Sox would start playing like the old Brooklyn Dodgers?
