    • Hey, the Colts D has finally showed up to play in the last two weeks. 17 points against the "best offense" in the league, and then an amazing performance against the Texans (should have been 0 points had it not been for two Manning INTs in their own 20), and Robert Mathis leads the AFC in sacks... and he's only a 3rd down pass rusher

      • Well, I would like to see the Colts try to keep down the Vikings O with a healthy Randy Moss... and it was 21 points by the offense... and they almost beat you .

        • Not really Imran. Firstly it was 20 points because they had a 2pt conversion off the kick return. We sent them backwards when they had a big kick return and then our punter was flagged for unnecessary roughness (WTF?), but they were still close enough to notch up 3 points.

The defense now does 2 point conversions?

Still doesn't change the fact that you are delusional about the Colts D .

            • I'm not saying their good. Not at all. Far from it in fact.

Having said that though, the last two weeks has given me hope that we may have just enough to put us over the top...

              • You think you can beat either New England or Pittsburgh? You have some sort of mental breakdown against the Pats and it doesn't seem the Steelers will ever lose again!

                • Well, considereing we outplayed the Patriots in Week One, but Edge fumbled twice (very uncharacteristic for him), I'd say we could beat them.

Also saying the Steelers won't lose again is silly and ignorant. It didn't seem the Bears would win one this season with Kraig Krenzel at the helm, but they did. A few bad calls will go against them, like they always do to teams. That's the nature of the game.

They really should. Then there would be 3 QBs from Fresno State starting in the NFL.

Seattle knew we were going to come out passing. We passed for like 15 straight plays. Then we ran twice, and we went up 14 zip. Martz knows when to run and when to pass.

                        *ahem* 2001 Super Bowl.

No he doesn't. Faulk is incredibly underused for a back with his talent.

There is that mental block. Cemented by those two fumbles.

Have you seen them play lately? I don't think it is a streach to say that the way they are playing right now, it doesn't SEEM like they will lose.

                        • So what? It may not seem like they will lose, but they will. There are 29 teams they could lose to, but they will lose to one of them at least, even if they did outplay them.

                          • And why will they lose to Indy, a team they look totally superior to? They won't be looking past them. The only way I can see them losing to Indy is an injury to Roethlisburger. An injury to their starting RBs doesn't seem to hurt them any.

                            • I never said they would lose to Indy. At the moment it seems like they are better, but before they played, Miami looked inferior to St Louis.

You can't say they will definately beat Indy because chances are they'll be thrashed. Chances are they'll win by a mile.

An injury to their starting RBs doesn't seem to hurt them any.
Best run blocking line in football, and a bus which has been sitting on the sidelines like a caged lion... I'm not surprised. Starting RBs aren't as important to a team if you have a good O-Line, which the Steelers have. Rhodes went for 1000 yards as an undrafted rookie in 2001, and Derrick Blaylock was no slouch last week in Priest Holmes' absense.

I see the Steelers losing if they lose Hines Ward or Plaxico Burress. At the moment they have offensive balance which is spreading defenses. Lose one of them, and you can concentrate on the others, like we've seen with Minnesota. That's the key to the Steelers' success: balance. Their line has been opening up holes for Bettis, and Roethlisberger's movement has given him time to find open receivers. Take away the receivers and Roethlisberger might not have as much time to find receivers.

Their defense has been stopping the run admirably, so their poor secondary has had an easier time of it. But if a team manages to pull out a good game plan against the Steelers, and take advantage of a weakness in their front seven, then they'll be stretched more.

When a team surprises everybody they look dominant, but sooner or later a team will find a flaw which sends it down.

Just wait til they get mowed down by the Bears juggernaut this week!
Indy will become the only playoff team team to lose to two rookie QBs in one season.
