Ming, I was pleasantly surprised by all that enthusiam shown by the Bears last Sunday. But it didn't translate into good play. Rather it seemed to translate into sloppiness, error, penalties and, eventually, hastily thrown balls deep into the end zone and into coverage. This team doesn't have a chance to win any games this year unless it cuts down on those kinds of mistakes.

The good news is, they can only get better.

As a Bears Fan, I too was pleased at much of what I saw. It's a shame the whole game turned on a blocked field goal returned for a touchdown. They out played the Lions and should have walked away with a victory.

At least now I think the Bears are headed in the right direction. While it might be a VERY LONG season, there is some hope again for the future.
      Keep on Civin'
RIP rah, Tony Bogey & Baron O

Don't bet on it, they are still being punished for "The Super Bowl Shuffle"

                Yeah... it's a riot.

We really thought we would have a great team for a few years... it just never worked out that way.

It had a lot to do with Buddy Ryan leaving, IMHO.

The defense was good in later years, but not awesome as when Ryan was there. That defense in '84 and '85 was spectacular.

                    Yeah... that and Marshall leaving

I still think the Bears' 85 defense was the best defense of all time.
