The Falcons defense seemed pretty good today - four sacks off of Orlando Pace and the Rams. Combine that with the 3 off San Francisco last week and we might be looking at a pretty good defensive line.

Turns out I won the NO vs. SF game in the morning, so I won 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening for a whopping 4 points.

The key to the Bears win was cutting down on the turnovers and penalties. They had just two of each.

They also took the ball away from Greenbay, including that Urlacher-forced fumble near their own goal line that Brown ran back 95 yards.

The Greenbay passing game looks really bad this year. If you can stop Green, or at least slow him down, Greenbay looks really weak on offense. I think Greenbay will have a hard time winning 9 games.

Bad news: Brown is out for the season. Achilles tendon.

Vick

This time Mora came with a gameplan for the entire game. Last week it seemed the Falcons just packed it in for the 2nd half. This time they came to play and Vick was OUTSTANDING, especially the drive right before half-time. This time he decided to run as well as pass (showing he could function as a pure pocket passer in the 1st half of last week's game).

The man is the greatest weapon in the game.

The announcers are all over this, but it doesn't appear that Norv Turner's even aware of it.

Maybe Norv is trying to tell Jerry that he should hang it up before he resembles other NFL stars that embarassed themselves by hanging on too long.


Oh, and there may be a RB controversy in Carolina. Foster looked impressive today, but then again it was against the KC defense.

Detroit and Atlanta are both 2-0. I wonder who is better?

Seriously, though, Detroit beat Chicago in Chicago, which we have found out is not as totally an abysmal team as we thought. Both Atlanta and Detroit were pretty bad last year.
