Dang...I don't know quite what I expected when I read this thred, but at the end, I found myself strangely dissappointed by it.

    Much more entertaining, IMO:

          Ann Coulter?

I can't believe anyone believes a single word that harpy spews.

EDIT: that picture might have been a bit much. This one a bit tamer.

I find it hard to believe she has any credibility, but then you have syndicated televangelists in the United States, so perhaps you have a greater tolerance for fabrication on air, and in print.

She seems to have no remorse, or sense of guilt or shame- is there a place in the Bush re-election team for her?

No comment on the article's points regarding Democrats besides Kerry?

                    • It's a stupid article. The facts are that politicians, regardless of political persuasion, routinely lie about being heroes. Take Tailgunner Joe, f'r instance.

As for the Gore quotes, they're conveniently devoid of context. And maybe he was fired upon, who's to say. Coulter certainly doesn't provide evidence otherwise. A little factoid about Gore, BTW, is that he actually drove out of Tennesse to enlist so he wouldn't be recognized as Al Gore Jr., and be given a cushy assignment (and apparantly failing in that). A hell of a lot more than what Dear Leader did.

Anyways, LBJ lying about his war record doesn't say anything about Democrats in general. Any more than McCarthy lying about his war record saying anything about Republicans in general.

No one was there. However they did leave a few surprises and one of the Army guys was killed by a booby trap. At least the story that they are talking about with the solider who went overboard.
