Given the charges levelled against this organisation by people more knowledgeable than I (No, I don't mean the local nursery), I'm not surprised it happens. Although, as with much of American, sorry, New Iraqi policy, I fully expect it to backfire.Comment

There was another case about a year ago which Donald Rumsfield made a big stink about. Apparently Al Jazeera broadcast a breaking news story about a bomb going off in Mosul only... the bomb hadn't gone off yet. It went off a little under an hour later. That's right; proof that Al Jazeera knew what was coming but didn't alert the authorities to a terrorist attack thus making them complicite in the murders of several dozen people.Comment

If they reported it before it actually went of, that pretty much proves they had advance (duh!) warning from the terrorists, and should have alerted the authorities immediately and directly, not simply slosh it out as "breaking news".Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?
