Should someone be prosecuted for saying "Go and kill white people"? - i just dont think they should, its a slippery slope once you go down that path(which we already have in the UK).
i watched the show last night, it was good enough but didn't do much more than state the obvious, 'the BNP in racist thugs shocker!!'
but one thing did catch my attention, they talked about a case of asian men praying on young white girls (had to do with drugs and the like) in keighly, the BBC went to great lengths to say that both white and asian men had been suspected in those cases. however i'm pretty sure that it was these incidents that channel 4 made a program about a couple of months ago, where the program makers made basically the same claims that the BNP had been making (albeit in a far less extreme manner), the program was never aired (it may be aired later this year) because of fears it would 'spark racial tension'. makes you wonder doesn't it...
I think we should address the BNP, their arguments, their history, their demographic and the reasons why a few people feel so compelled to vote for them, and that needs to be dealt with by the media. I believe that would be a far more effective means of turning the public rightfully against the BNP instead of painting them as a collection of beer-swilling, slack-jawwed, unintelligibly simple minded lager louts. Of course that description fits many of its supporters but unfortunately their threat and potential doesn't stop at the pub doors, as we have seen so many times before in history
.
ha ha .. actually, you are quite right, there was a case recently where a chap was planning to kill muslims, and he was married (or living with) a chinese lady .. I think there is a difference though between racial hatred in general, and the hatred of particular groups !! a bit like some people I know who hate Britain
