My mother had just purchased a summer house in France back in '91-92 something. There was an important football game where Sweden beat France (was it the WC qualification, can't remember?). My mother watched it with her older sister and her new neighbour, a retired gendarme from Paris who commented "Sweden defended well". Then the two old ladies (60-70 years old back then) sat in their Austin Mini and drove around town, honked and waved a Swedish flag out the window!!!!
What a sight that must have been!
